They were told they
couldn't play.
Watch them play anyway.
Somewhere on our ground in Kitende, a boy with autism is standing on a pitch for the very first time. Nobody has told him he is too slow, too different, or too much trouble. A ball is rolling towards him — and for once in his life, an entire team is waiting for him to kick it.
A few metres away, a girl with Down syndrome is learning her first trap while her mother watches from the touchline with tears in her eyes. Not because she is sad — because someone finally said yes.
Star Hearts Sports Academy is that yes. We coach children with disabilities, orphans, and children whose families cannot afford a single pair of boots. Sport is the one place where a diagnosis does not decide a child's future. But that gate only stays open because people like you decide these children are worth it.
For one day a year, our children are not the ones watching. They are the ones being cheered for.
Adapted sessions for children with Autism & Down Syndrome — run by coaches we trained, and pay, to believe in them. Every gala, every kit, every ball is funded by someone who chose not to look away.
